This area has a rich history in agriculture, manufacturing and service industries.  Entrepreneurs have found the county’s workforce to be eager and up to the demands of what needs done.  The expertise of many generations of skilled workers rely on the willingness of employers to invest in this area.  That has been the case since the area was first settled more than 200 years ago and it is true today.  Mansfield was once known as the appliance center of the nation. That is no longer true but the breadth of employers today speaks to the vitality of the area and the willingness of the people.
