Richland County has a wonderful selection of higher Education opportunities.

For job training, there is no finer than North Central State College with their main campus collocated with Ohio State University – Mansfield on a beautiful wooded campus on the North West side of the county. NCSC also has a high tech campus, the Kehoe Center, located in Shelby, Ohio, just a few miles from the main campus. Their two year degree programs are transferable to any Ohio state supported University for students wishing to pursue a higher degree.

Ohio State University – Mansfield offers the quality of one of the nation’s finest and largest Universities, in a small town setting, with an individual attention environment, especially suited to starting a higher education path that leads to four year and PhD degrees at the Columbus, Ohio main campus. The beautiful Mansfield campus is a full service campus offering the full “higher education experience”.

The Ashland University Dwight Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences opened in Mansfield in 2012. This facility, in combination with their nearby main campus, can accommodate over seven hundred nursing students within their four year program.

A short thirty minute drive offers the largest Agricultural Research Center in the country operated by the Ohio State University. This Wooster, Ohio facility is a pioneering research center contributing immensely to the enhancement of the Agricultural productivity of the US and world farming industry.

Also within less than an hour drive are such outstanding Universities as Mt Vernon Nazarene University, Wooster Collage, and Ashland University.
